Horseshoe Empire's 2023 June production was a great success!
Margo’s plays have been presented in London, Milan, NYC, Colorado Springs, San Diego, Abingdon, VA and at various other theatres across the U.S. Her play “Mistress Marlene” is published in Smith & Kraus’ “Best Ten-Minute Plays of 2015” and “Mae the Magnificent” received 1st Place (The Standing Ovation Award) in their 2019 anthology. Margo’s full-length, “Let Maisy Rest In Peace” was part of Barter Theatre’s Appalachian Festival of New Plays 2019. Margo is a 1st Prize recipient of Jerry Kaufman Award for Excellence in Playwriting 2016.
“Blades” was published in Applause Books’ “Best New 10-Minute Plays 2021”. It was presented at The Magnetic Theatre in Asheville, NC, also at Cornell U, Ithaca NY, at Watchung Hills Regional High in Warren, NJ and in NYC as part of Artistic New Direction's "Eclectic Evening of Shorts".
In 2023, “Horseshoe Empire” received generous grants from Jersey City’s Art & Culture Trust Fund, Hudson County History Partnership and NJ State Historical Commission. It subsequently received the J. Owen Grundy History Award and an interview on PBS's "Remember Them" program. It will be returning in October 2024 for a remount at Art House Productions in Jersey City, NJ.
As an actor, Margo has performed in NYC at Circle Rep, Ensemble Studio Theatre, American Jewish Theatre, NYU’s First Look and at Club 57, Symphony Space and The Duke Theatre. Regionally she has worked at Williamstown (2 seasons), the Wilma Theatre (Philadelphia) and the Asolo Theatre (Florida). She has enjoyed performing with such talents as David Hyde Pierce, Michael Cerveris and Jerry Stiller, to name a few. As a voiceover talent her voice has been heard on major network commercials and in many training tapes.
Member of Dramatist Guild, Actors Studio PDU, American Renaissance Theatre Co and LPTW (League of Professional Theatre Women), AEA, SAG/AFTRA.
