"Let Maisy Rest In Peace" is a love story about a simple man who, at his wife’s dying request, respectfully buries her in the front yard of their home in Tinder Hill, Alabama. Some town folks loyally support the gravesite location while others are unsure of the “flashy” memorial that’s drawing considerable attention on Main Street. The Town Council disapproves and intervenes. To protect the gravesite, at all costs, Walter earnestly attempts many extraordinary maneuvers but is ultimately torn between honoring his promise to Maisy and considering the needs of his economically distressed community.
